Your mission

As a Software Engineer, you’ll work across both frontend and backend to help us deliver a seamless, user-friendly experience. You’ll collaborate with our engineers to build and improve PartsOS, ensuring a smooth integration between systems and frontend interfaces. If you’ve got a knack for solving tough challenges with elegant, scalable solutions, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Be Working On

• Backend Brilliance: Build and maintain backend services using Python (Django). Shape our API architecture to power the frontend and seamlessly connect with external systems.
• Frontend Mastery: Craft responsive, user-friendly single-page apps with Vue.js. Write clean, maintainable TypeScript code while collaborating with the frontend team to ensure stack-wide consistency.
• Data Management: Extend the core data model and manage data in Postgresql.
• Seamless Integration: Ensure smooth collaboration between frontend and backend by developing and documenting RESTful APIs.
• CI/CD & Testing: Contribute to the CI/CD pipeline, deploying backend services and frontend updates effortlessly. Write and maintain unit and integration tests to guarantee reliability across systems.

Who We’re Looking For

• Fullstack Pro: You’re skilled in both frontend (Vue.js, React, or Angular) and backend (Python/Django). You’ve shipped production apps and know how to build polished, scalable software.
• API & Database Expert: You’ve built REST APIs and worked with PostgreSQL (or a similar database). 
• Frontend Advocate: You’re comfortable working on the frontend when needed, ensuring our users have a smooth, engaging experience.
• CI/CD Contributor: You’ve worked in environments with CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth and reliable deployments.
• Good Communicator: You are a strong communicator and fluent in English. German is a plus, but not required.
• Work Eligibility: You are located in Europe and hold all the necessary work authorizations for your country.

• PostgreSQL: You’ll design and maintain database structures, ensuring data is efficiently stored and accessible.
• TypeScript: You’ll write and maintain TypeScript code across both frontend and backend.
